About Dana Kowen, CPC
Founder & President
Dana Kowen grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and graduated from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She has over 17 years of recruiting and HR experience, working for top-tier search firms in South Africa & the United States, and as a successful corporate internal recruiter. As a result of her extensive experience, Dana knows what it’s like to be a Human Resources manager hunting for the best talent.
Upon immigrating to America, Dana became an integral member of the team at A-Fox Enterprise, a Chicago-based recruiting firm. She spearheaded the launch of a new healthcare division for the company, which became a highly profitable expansion of the firm. Later, she was recruited by one of her clients, KPMG, to join them as a corporate recruiter, where she was awarded the Power of One Recruiting Award for Excellence.
In 2000, Dana launched Dana Kowen Associates with the mission of delivering client companies & candidates a partnership of collaboration, exceptional service and the utmost integrity, thus providing a competitive edge to clients while also creating opportunities for candidates to further their career aspirations. Dana Kowen Associates has gone on to win several awards, including multiple Top Ten Agency and Top Ten Counselor awards from Intercity Personnel Associates (IPA) – a network of over 200 search firms.
Dana is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) through the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), which is the coveted symbol of professionalism and excellence in the personnel consulting industry.
